How do I become a member of the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation?

Membership is acquired by one of four methods:

  • Baptism at Annunciation
  • By producing a record of Baptism in another congregation to become a “baptized member.”
  • By transferring your membership if you are a member of another Episcopal Church, or were confirmed in an Episcopal church.
  • By becoming regular in worship, ministry, and support of the life of the congregation.

Baptized members are urged to receive instruction as to the nature of the Episcopal Church by enrolling in classes called Inquirers Classes when offered, and to be confirmed or received by the Bishop if you have made a mature commitment in any other Christian Church. Confirmation is “the rite in which we express a mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a Bishop,” The Book of Common Prayer pg. 860.  For further information, please call the church office at 912-537-3776 and ask to speak with Rev. Denise.
